That's extreamly bad place to have used Shark Bite fittings. That all should have been soldered fittings.
It could very well just pop off now.
I'd try shutting off the water supply, relieve the pressure and try pushing the whole thing back together.
But I for sure would get rid of the Shark bites. There a great fitting just not where there going to get twisted sideways.

Probably used shark bites because he was afraid of melting the plastic housing. You could try the sb release tool then snap it back together. I would start over on that setup. Forgive me for saying this, but you could pull it back apart and just replace the sharkbites until the next time.

Make sure that the filter housing has a bracket, change the head on the filter to one with out the handle as that will break in time. A Pentair filter head with out the handle can be changed out and the use of the bracket will keep the pipe in the shark bit straight. The reason it is leaking is that there is weight on the fitting and there is a space with the o ring in the shark bite.

Why is the filter needed?
Is the copper pipe all the way into the shark bite?

Sorry for my ignorance, I just wanted to ask and clarify this thing, what are those sharkbites? What does the bad effects it could bring to your plumbing at home? I am very interested in knowing more about this stuff. Thanks! :)

the filter is a whole-house filter, we have well water.

i'm not sure how far the pipe is into the shark bite.

Who said that the filter was needed?
Is there sand in the water?
That filter is more for under a sink than a whole house filter.
That filter is like a 2 lane bridge for a 4 lane highway.
Is it before or after a softener?

I am not a pro, but will try and answer you based on what I have read:

Sharkbites is a brand and is a "quick" connection for connecting piping. I believe that most of the pros see it as a "quick" temp fix for an emaergency only. The bad effect as seen in this case, if not put together correctly can leak.

The pros opt to do the job right the first time.

i had read that a filter like this one is a good idea -- guess i was wrong. no sand in the water, but i do see the filters get pretty nasty every few weeks. it is before a softener.
