We want to run a temporary electrical drop onto some vacant land, which is no problem with the PoCo. They want a 20' long 6x6 post buried 5' below ground though. With post-hole-diggers I can get near 4' but what do I do to get deeper? We only need one pole so I'd rather not go rent equipment for one stupid hole but can't think of another way.

Thanks!

I don't see this as a code issue since it's a temp. Is the Power company actually going to inspect the hole before you fill it?

Well, if you don't have a good pair of double hinged post hole diggers like this, http://theholedeal.com/ , dig a hole with a shovel about 30 to 36" deep, and stand in this hole to dig the remaining hole with post hole diggers. They are 60 bucks and $12 shipping.
