Why not clean it up and repaint?
There really is nothing that can just cover it up.
There's no way to attach it, it would cover up the sky lights.

You could screw metal cross pieces and hang drywall----
The name escapes me, but drywall supply houses sell the 10 or 12 foot metal --
If you contact a drywall company, they will know how and what is needed.
Painting over what you have will fail in one season----

If your willing to reroute all the wiring, build curbs for the skylights remove all the lights and reinstall that may work.

That looks somewhat similar to the inside of my church which was originally a roller rink.
If there is no load bearing anything in the middle of that space, don't hang anything without talking to a structural engineer.
Is it a big open space with the roof only supported by outside walls?

Makes sense; sometimes the best solution is right in front of us. Thanks
drop ceiling in a garage ? i think it has to be water/oil resistant
