I have a granite kitchen counter top. Near my stove my granite doesn't feel right. Not sure what to use to get off whatever is on it without ruining my granite top in this area. I have sealed it a few times but not for a few years now. Any ideas would be great. thanks

I’ve never sealed my granite and it’s about 12 years old...I use granite
gold cleaner, but I usually just use windex every day to clean off any grease
and smudges.

I bought this Granite Gold polish, which I use once a week and it keeps the granite
beautifully...after cleaning with windex, I spray on the polish and paper towel
it off...and the granite shines.

You can get it on Amazon. The price is right, and since it’s in
a pump bottle - it lasts for a long time.

If it's a "feel" issue, perhaps there's some crud on the surface. First try a non-abrasive scrubbing pad. If that doesn't help, you may want to consider an abrasive pad—not sure if that would impact the surface at all. I would also consider trying a razor scraper, like this:

We seal our granite every 2 years.
In FL the granite came with the house and it was discolored where something stained it. We made a paste with baking soda and water and smeared it on. The next day we removed the dry paste and washed the counter. It removed most of the stain.
