I just finished laying the brick for a wall out in my backyard and want to make a mold for a 1 piece concrete topper that is about 12" wide and 6 ft long to go on top of the wall. I would LIKE to have a rounded edge instead of boxed...and thinking about cutting a 3" PVC pipe in half (long ways) to secure to the wood frame on the mold so the concrete will flow into that half pipe and make a round edge to it.

I dont know how I can attach the PVC pipe to the wood mold though....and wondering if anyone has a different way to do this.

Thinking out loud... Would a racheting band clamp work? They are a nylon type of fabric like a belt with a rachet mechanism used to tighten them. You often see similar ones securing loads to truck beds.

I just sketched this up but it should work will to do what you want to do. I show 1/4" Masonite between the two pieces of pipe but you may need to change it to something else to match the thickness of the pipe. The outer form would be something like 1" pine or something like that.
