Hello Everyone. I am looking for expert input on how to make a strong connection between 2 pieces of a knee wall that make a 45° angle. Both sides of the wall will be sheetrocked and painted/tiled. I am attaching an image of what I am looking to build. Thank you in advanced for your review and feedback.

Build the wall as you have it but make it short enough to have 2 more top plates wit the corners cut at a full 45* in alternating directions.

Thanks for the input Nealtw and sixeightten. I completed the framing of my 40" high knee wall that will be the enclosure of a shower. I ripped out a garden tub and a 36"x36" shower to make a larger walk in shower. The top of the knee wall will have 3 sections of 50" high glass. I did the bracing on top as Nealtw provided input. I'll use sixeightten's input to complete the framing at the 45° corners - the only thing that didn't get completed before I took the pictures I am adding to show my final work.

I further anchored the wall to the trusses below as shown in the photos. I had to get creative due to the existing sewer, water, and gas lines running where the anchors were added. I used Simpson Strong-Tie HDB 8-5/8 in. 12-Gauge Galvanized Bolted Holdown with 36" long 5/8" threaded rods. I used a lot of force to try to move the wall and it "IS SOLID"!

Thanks again everyone.

Yes you failed to mention the shower in this thread but you have it. Is it stiff enough now?

We never fill that corner any more that they have paper packed corner bead and don't need to nail them in place.
