Can someone point me in the right direction of how to achieve a look similar to this? I haven't purchase the trim yet. But when I do, I would like to know what colors and type of paint/stain, and process would achieve the look in the attached photo.

A good paint store like Sherwin Williams can show you exactly how to do that. I've done it to my cabinets in the past but forgot the colors. It is a paint/stain combo.

General finishes waterborne dyes and stain can achieve that look. Optionally using a glaze.

also it's a good idea to finish the backside of the mirror mold that touches the glass. Sometimes that portion will reflect in the mirror.
