This pic shows the space where I plan to put a new 32 x 60 inch tub with integral apron. When we started this we had imagined a 30 inch tub, but changed out minds and switched to the 32 inch. The wall on the left is a framed in linen closet at 33.5 inches. With wall board it will be 34 inches. Should I go ahead now and extend the wall to make it easier to tile beside the tub apron, or will 2 inches be enough?

If you have room I would add one or 2 studs to the end. For a 30 inch tub the wall is usually 34 to 36"
Don't forget to put in studs for the doors to screw too, even if you don't plan on doors.

Thank you, I do plan on a door. I can just cut the end wall and push it out. I do also have a heat vent to avoid on the other side so not sure I can add two studs.
