Concrete block wall. Trying to repoint before i frame and finish my basement. I got a dust shroud shop vac attachment for my makita angle grinder, Starting on a section of wall that is 11ft. wide x 80in. height. Can i just go ahead and rake 1/2in. of the mortar out of the whole wall at once, or is it best to do in sections?

If you’re only going to half inch deep you can do the whole wall at one time even with a vac you’re going to have dust so make sure you close seal off the vents and stairway and open basement windows if you have them
