Dormers can cost a lot more than you think. Extra engineering for loads, extra framing, drywall, window, siding, roofing, etc. Hard for anyone here to give you any idea really.
To get any accurate estimates, you would need a set of plans to show local contracors who did an onsite inspection.Looking for cost estimates: I'm adding a third floor master suite and want to build 3 dormers to open up the attic. One is gabled (8 ft x 15 ft), one is a shed (4 ft x 10 ft) and one is doghouse (6 ft x 6 ft).
thanks!
No one here has seen the plans. Thanks Ron. I did do that and I have the designs. i just wanted to know within the forum if the estimates are out of whack.
You will never get an answer. It's impossible. Besides what difference does it make anyway if someone here does give you a number. You have to go by the estimates you already have.thanks Six. all in for a 1450 sq ft house what you would think it would cost? any thoughts? not trying to put you on the spot but just looking for ball park
