I am building a new home and have a huge outside deck which is 6' high and enclosed by wood - can I locate my ac compressors there?? tks james

If the space is enclosed with wood, how do you plan on the outside unit to breath. Really want to shorten the life of the condenser.

If you put open weave lattice on the sides AND some type of open grill above them/thru the deck they will work. Otherwise they will lose 1/3 theiir lifespan and never cool 100%.
