I recently hung new wall opening casing around my dining room entrance. Pre-primed white pine molding.

I nailed it in place, wood filled the nail holes and caulked the edges. I then sanded it down buttery smooth, wiped it down and added two coats of 123 primer 24 hours apart.

I just did my first coat of BM Advanced Satin trim paint and it looks pretty good to me. Should I add a second coat of that as well or is one generally sufficient (24 hours later)?

i ususally start with a primer and let it sit for a day, then 1 coat sit for a day then another coat next day - prior its not a dusty area or high substance area.

if not - your regular drying time works as well, but waiting an entire day I noticed paint holds up much longer
