Valve should be at what height?
diverter should be how far above valve?

Nothing cast in stone except ADA req. and tub spout which needs to be- I believe- 4" above the tub rim to meet code. Beyond that it's a matter of preference. Tub/shower valve is apprx 12" above spout. For shower only, Joe's numbers are good. The last thing you want is to bend your knees in the shower :yes:Valve should be at what height?

Minimum requirement is that the trim plates don't hit. It's that simpleSorry guys, when I say diverter, this is a shower only and what I am calling the diverter is Kohler k728 and it changes from head to handheld then both.
