Can someone please tell me how this particular faucet comes apart? I’ve fixed many a faucet but this one doesn’t appear to be taken apart? The photos show the destruction I’ve done and what it looked like before my wrench tore it up.
Anyway this guy seems to defy disassembly and yes I am an idiot.

Thanks guys and have a wonderful Fathers Day

Yes there was “several coats” of paint plastered all over it.
The faucet is dripping out of the handle area post. Shuts the water off fine but it just keeps dripping at the handle area. I realize this must come apart but not sure what part I need to put a wrench around. I guess there is a remote possibility that it is not repairable and just needs to be replaced. I’ve never worked on one of these types before so I’m not sure if I’ve buggered the darn thing up so bad there isn’t any way a wrench can loosen it.
I plan to get a complete replacement just in case it’s not repairable. I hate not knowing what size and type washer I might need to repair it although I do have quite an assortments in my parts drawer.
Thanks for your reply!

I agree, it may be easier to just replace it with a new frostfree hose bib.

Can you post a picture from where it connects inside, so we can see what kind of set-up you have.?? thank you.

It may be possible to use a sharkbtry frostfree hose bib. No soldering or unsoldering required. ezpz123z.

I would love to take a photo where it connects but unfortunately it’s inside a concrete block wall:sad:
So either I fix this hose bib or I have to risk whatever nightmare is waiting for me inside the block wall. I have visions of having to break open the wall just to fix a drip. I hope the normal acceptable practice for installing hose bibs involves a threaded pipe in order to facilitate easy replacement of a defective hose bib. But I’ve been wrong before , hence the nightmare visions!
Anyone got any other ideas besides calling a plumber?

Thanks in advance!

If that is a break line where the top end of the green pointer stops and the portion just above that line was at one time a hex, that's probably where it comes apart.

Myself i wouldn't touch it and the reason, i'd have better success putting tooth paste back in the tube than finding parts to repair it.

There comes a time to replace those and now is the time.
