How do you remove covering over glass on new French Doors?

Are you talking about the plactic your suppost to leave on the door until you prime and paint two coats before removing?
If so just cut around it with a razer knife and peel off.

leave it on until the project is complete and be careful with cutting it because the glass could have a low e coating on the inside and cutting could damage the low e...

Stainless steel does not scratch
What in the world does that have to do with the OP question, and as to the answer to your remark, yes Stainless Steel does scratch.

Sorry, stainless steel does not scratch GLASS. I will no longer move stainless steel appliances because of the potential for a scratch. I scratched the brand new door of my fridge with a paper towel.
