Hi, I am looking for some advice on hardwood floors. I have wood floors in my house that are only 5 years old. They are already beginning to fade.

I have some very large windows that are located within my living room that let in a lot of sun. The areas of my hardwood floor that are exposed to the sun are dry and faded. I love to let the sun in the house, but am not sure how to prevent the fading that it causes on my floors.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can put on my floors to protect them from the sun? I also am in need of any reference articles pertaining to this topic. Does anyone have access to these articles? Thank you so much for your time!

Same problem here with windows. I just added the plantation blinds to 14 windows that go accross the front of my house $$$$ but it also keeps the house a little bit cooler.

I would suggest using the search option, this question is asked alot!
