I am splicing a 6/3 wire for my range. Because I need to move it over another 4 feet. I am putting in a juction box in the basement that is oversize to fit the splices with #6 wire nuts than taping them up so it will not come loose. [My question is how do I ground the splice to the juction box with such a large ground wire?]

I would use a lug with a nut and bolt drilled thru the box.

The #10 in a 6/3 cable will fit fine under a standard ground screw, which should screw into the threaded hole in the back of the box.

One other thing. Taping the wire nuts will NOT keep them secure or keep them from "falling off".
A properly installed wire nut needs no tape and will not fall off.

I know but I like to tape up every wire nut as an extra safety measure.

No disrespect, but taping a proper wirenut connection affords absolutely no extra safety. A proper installation provides the required safety.

There is nothing wrong with doing it, but it is NOT necessary if, like I said, the nuts are installed correctly in the first place.

Tape can also cause a hellacious mess and problem if any one needs to un-do the installation at a later date.

If you are bent on causing unnecessary problems in the future, then by all means get out the tape.

They won't keep a loose wire nut from loosening more, and they won't cause a loose wire nut to tighten.

There are no good reasons to tape a wire nut

Taping a wirenut is like driving a ground rod at a pool. Not necessary.
