Hi all, this is my first post here, so hope I'm not asking a stupid question!

My girlfriend and I have just bought our first house, and we're currently remodelling the kitchen (doing as much of it ourselves as we can). We would like to place a 450mm or 500mm overmount basin (with no drainer) right at the end of a laminate worktop (or as close to the end as we can).

The cabinet the basin is sitting on top of is 500mm.

What's the minimum amount of space we should be leaving at the end of the worktop to keep it strong etc. I read it should be 300mm for an undermount sink in a wooden worktop, but can't find info for an overmount sink in a laminate worktop...

Thank you!
Rob.
