find some color choices that you think that you may like. have some samples made and paint some large enough areas to get a good idea of how it will look. if you are using accent colors you should do your samples next to them to make sure that they will compliment each other.

Pick up some swatches at the paintstore........they have handouts with colors matched up that look good together. Go to Valspar.com and use their software that takes a house that looks like yours and then you can mix and match colors on your computer to see what might look good on your style of house. Or, drive your neighborhoods to see houses that you like and ask the homeowners what colors they used. That's about all you can do.
