Thinking about painting my house this spring, planned on using a sprayer, single story house, nothing fancy. Is this something I should try on my own or might this be a bad idea.

Spraying is much harder to do right than it looks. Unless you know what you are doing- bad idea.

It's the way I have painted houses for 25 years.I don't spray at all.:thumbsup:

Make sure you have the right nap for your needs,make sure you have plenty of drop cloths and masking materials. What type of siding do you have on your house.? Prepping correctly is the key to a good paint job.

The house is an aluminun siding, garage is some sort of tile? Asbestos maybe? Not real sure, see it on a lot of houses though

I think I know the tile or shingles that you mean.They probably are asbestos.I have rolled and brushed many over the years.The aluminum siding would probably be better brushed but if it is chalky...it will need a good cleaning and priming.
