House electrical wiring issue.

Hi All,

I have a House electrical wiring issue.

Several plug in devices have died over the last 12 months since we moved in. 2 x cd players, 2hp blender x 3.

Light bulbs seem to blow more often than they should - dicrotic bulbs.

Also during torrential rain one of the power circuits trips the cct breaker.

How do I test and isolate the issue?

What do you blend in a 2 hp blender? Is the wife visiting relatives in...Alaska?
What are diocrotic bulbs?
What country are you posting from?

How old is the house wiring?
Where are you located?
Do you have grounding rods setup?

On the breaker tripping, is it linked to an outside outlet?
Or is there an outlet/wiring that is on an outside wall - possibly geeting wet?
A bad neutral connection could cause a brown out type situation and ruin electrical items. You should have an electrician check it out.
Thanks SKIP4661, I think that is what i was looking for. Bad neutral because I think it is a brown out that is training the items when they draw load.

Earth rods are good, have checked those.

Dicrotic bulbs are similar to halogen bulbs.

posting from Australia.

Good point on the external point, there is one driving the spa pump, will check it out.

thanks all.
