The hot water side of my bathroom faucet shuts off when I turn the handle to full pressure. I called Symmons and they sent me a new valve cartridge replacement part, which I installed, but the issue was not resolved.
No problems with the cold water. Any suggestions or is it time for a new faucet.
Thanks

I'd start by shutting off the valve and removing the supply line from the faucet and placing the line in a bucket , and turn the valve back on to see if your getting full flow.
If there's low flow, replace the shut off valve with a new 1/4 turn valve.

I would be willing to bet that you have copper pipe. When soldering pipe, if to much solder is used the hot, liquid solder will run inside the pipe or fall to a cold section of pipe. There it will splatter into a big thin disk. Hot solder will not stick or not stick very well to a cold pipe. Eventually the flow of water will move this solder to the next valve and block it. This can sometimes take years.
Reverse the supply tubes from the stop valves to the faucet. Connect hot to cold and cold to hot. If the blockage moves to the cold side, which now has hot water, that would confirm what the problem is and where it is.

If that happens, remove the hot stop valve and connect a hose to the pipe (with clamp) and flush the pipe into a bucket.
