Is the valve under the sink screwed on or sweated on? I can't tell.


There is a nut there that won't turn but I don't want to muscle it.
It's leaking the at handle
do i try to remove the whole thing or the handle. Be happy to replace whole thing if I can get it off.

It can be sweated, screwed or compression.
Take a pic then match it up at the store.

Sometimes all that is need is to tighten down the packing nut if there is one. If this doesn't work, it may need repacking or replacing. Imo, an open end wrench works best.

Add a photo. They can be several different types of connection.
DO NOT torque on it or otherwise force anything.
Really bad things can happen if you do.
