Hi all,

Here I am with another question. On my new place the tankless water heater is in the detached garage quite a ways from the bathrooms (maybe 40-50 feet). I have to wait a long time to get some hot water in the shower and sinks. I have tried to read about hot water systems but I seem to find a range of mix opinions. Some say it is great and saves you energy, others say it is constly and not worth it. My house is single story 1650sqft and only have two bathrooms. Any suggestions, ideas, recomendations? I know there is a few systems out there but how to choose. I would like to have hot water right away but if its going to cost me a lot $$$ I may need to learn to deal with this problem.

If you have a tank-less water heater your only choice would be a demand type recirculating. The fuel savings from a tank-less heater comes from the fact that it is not heating water except during demand. With a full time recirculating the heater would be running most of the time.

Yes, I do not want to do this to the heater. I guess I will have to learn to deal with the cold water.
