Porter Cable FC350 was in the Black Friday shopping ad for $129 but I was in the woods hunting. Website had same price today, and I went to the local HD and they had one in stock, with case. What am I missing in this? Is it possible its a model change and they're getting rid of what they have? I've seen them do that before but never on the web or in an ad. I know the link says clipped head but the nailer package itself self says right on it "clipped or full head nails".

I've watched them and always wanted a framing nailer, just never had a project to warrant shelling out $200 opposed to swinging a hammer. New house now and finishing the basement is on the horizon so I've been looking for one.

I don"t see anything wrong with it. Nailers have come down in price a lot in the last couple of years. Just be sure it fires both clipped and full. Here in Fl the only place we can use clipped head is in agricultural buildings.

Full heads are code any place I've worked.
Nice to be able to shoot both when I get stuck on a job and have to use someone elses nails and there not full head.

yup. clipped heads dont have the same holding power..
as for the dirt cheap price.. its two reasons i believe porter cable might have a newer version coming out.. and two its a cheap crappy gun to begin with.. the last time pc made a decent framing gun was almost 10 years ago and even that wasnt that good. their known for having the spring in the magazine breaking.. and misfire and their heavy too boot which isnt a good thing on a underpowered gun

mind you i use the old school all metal hitachis which are damn near a howitzer tank compared to a smart car in durability and reliability
