Hot air furnace air temp?

What is the proper setting for the tstat that cycles the fan on and off.

Oil fired hot air furnace.

Auto.
It's called the limit control on the furnace..old ones are a box with removable cover on front of furnace...normally set around 150 F to start fan and 120 to shut off and have adjustable set point levers...newer furnaces are electronically controlled via integrally mounted thermistor(s) which signal the fan to start and stop. They are small dics that mount to heat exchanger and are not adjustable.
100 to 110 off, 140 on. Leave limit at 200.

Thats known as a fan limit control.
