You don't, and it absolutely is not affecting the thermostats operation. Find your owners manual, you may be able to adjust the themostats calibration.
Im pretty sure Honeywell knows how to make a tstat...I appreciate you responding; but; that little bit of heat inadvertainly raises the temperature of the thermostat 2 degrees above the actual room temperature.
are you saying that if i have the stat set to call for heat below 72% and the room displayed temp on the stat now shows 74%, the stat will operate properly. It seems to me that if the shown room temp is 74 and i hacve the stat set for 72 it will never call for heat because the room temp now seems to be 74 ?????
