I was looking to get a couple of items at Home Depot and was trying to get free shipping. I came across this site through Clark Howard's site to locate items that can find items to get the order amount up to the free shipping minimum.

I think they dropped the free shipping minimum recently. I seem to recall the minimum order size for free shipping was $249 and now it is just $49. :thumbup:

It also appears that Lowe's has also matched Home Depot for $49 to get free shipping, though I am not sure what Lowe's minimum was before.

I suppose for some people, Amazon makes an even better deal due to tax, especially for some states.

I also prefer the speed at which Amazon ships, but then again, they don't have the same items that the big boxes do--some, but not all.
