Hello,
I recently decided to upgrade my aging ceiling fan to a smart enabled one and decided to go with the Hunter Romulus series. After using the fan for several days, I became somewhat irritated by the motor hum. Hunter agreed to swap out my AC model for a DC model (Advocate series). The motor hum is gone, however I seem to have traded the motor hum for a high pitched (10K) sound whenever the fan is in operation. Though it’s not loud, I can hear it over the sound of the TV because of the high frequency and since the fan is located in my bedroom it’s impossible to ignore when I sleep. Another reviewer of this model reported the same issue, so I’m not sure if this is common for DC ceiling fans or just this model.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
