High Hat Installation (two layers of 1/2inch drywall make-up ceiling)

How do you install high hats when you have two layers of 1/2 inch drywall for a ceiling? The high hats I want to install aren't made with clips for this thickness of ceiling.

By "high hats", do you mean "can lights"?
