Hi everyone! So excited to find a DIY forum...and on my IPhone no less! My name is Amber, Im a 31 year old Do It Yourselfer in Massachusetts. My husband and I bought an abandoned foreclosure in 2007. A small cottage by the beach. It was a wreck, so we've been working on it as much as we can ever since. We try to do most of the work ourselves whenever possible. My husband works extremely long hours so I usually end up doing 90% of the work myself, supervised by my 3 dogs. I don't mind taking on any project unless it involves belly crawling under the house (there could be dead things, I don't like dead things!) going on the roof (scared of heights) or major electrical (don't want to burn the house down) although I really want to start attempting some wiring because we just don't have much in our 1915 cottage. So that's pretty much it, thanks a lot, glad to be here!

Wow Amber, Sounds like you and your husband have your work cut out. Atleast your by the beach.:clap: Your right there is a lot of great information and people on here. Good luck with your beach house remodeling.:thumbup:
