I own a shop that specializes in genuine NM made inventory, but I'm focused on getting a 400 sq.ft. adobe garage converted to a studio apartment. My partner is a painter and somewhat of a handyman, and I've painted, laid a brick hearth, helped build a wood deck around an outdoor spa, and am not afraid to get my hands dirty. Plus, of course we are on a budget! I'd like to do the whole thing for $15K. Oh yes, I'm using eco-friendly products (go green!) whenever I can. :sweatdrop:

That being said, I'm busy making my excel cost spreadsheet of all items and labor that will be involved. I've drawn the layout to scale on graph paper etc. We want to do what we can, but don't want to foolishly tackle something we aren't up to.
