Well I started a new house. Still a bit shocked myself.
I do bulldozing for a living and have had the road built into where my wife and I wanted to build for several years. Been working on plans that long too.
Even have the water and electric in already.

On April 13 I presented my latest plans to my wife and she liked them :thumbsup:
I decided to talk to a builder that does the foamblock/concrete walls, start working towards building sometime.

Where I am located in Ks it has been really wet this spring and when I talked to the builder he couldn't get to his next job because there is no road in.
Since he couldn't get to the next job and was finishing up where he was at, things happened rather quickly.

We dug footings the 20th, poured that the next day, set 2 1/2 rows blocks the next day, rained out thursday, and was able to get the blocks poured fri aft.

Have been getting ready to pour the floor this week, which the builder doesn't do, rained out twice, hope to pour the floor monday.

So what a couple weeks.
Have a couple questions that I will be posting, in hopefully the right categories.

Thanks guys,

The house is 2500 sq ft with 900 sq ft garage and 800 sq ft of porch.
It is a slab on grade, should be ready to pour in the morning. (mon, may 4)
80 yds concrete, pump truck, several friends that happen to be excellent carpenters, and a concrete crew that are coming in to help pour.
The friends helped me get it ready this week even though it rained some.
