Hello. I have a 1.5 hp single phase electric motor that can be run 120v or 240v. I want to run this 240v and could use some help with the wiring. I have a double 20 amp breaker installed and will be using 12-3 romex to feed the motor. My question is do I need the neutral (white) wire to connect to the motor? I know many 240v applications do not require a neutral, but someone led me to believe I do in this instance. Not sure how to wire this inside the motor junction box. Please see the attached diagram provided in the manual for this motor. Thanks.
