Hello, newbie here. I have a broken tombstone on a T8 2 - bulb fluorescent fixture. In order to replace the tombstone I need to know if its shunted or non-shunted. I do not have a testing meter but I have a series of photos that I believe a knowledgeable person here could probably tell me which I need to get.
A link to my photos is here:

The 1st photo shows the 2 light fixture - you can see the broken tombstone on the left - it shows which holes the wires go in (the outside holes on each side)
The 2nd photo shows where the wires come from from the other tombstone.
The 3rd photo shows the dis-assembled tombstone - I didn't see any connection between the copper pieces so I'm guessing it's a non-shunted tombstone?
The 4th photo shows the front of the broken tombstone.
The 5th photo shows a replacement non-shunted tombstone I found on Amazon. The link to this item is here:
http://www.amazon.com/Non-shunted-J...qid=1462138735&sr=8-1&keywords=non-shunted+T8
So my question is: do I have this all right?
Thanks very much for taking the time to help me out.
Sincerely,
Jim

You shutterfly link leads to a sign in page. No one can see the pix.

Those tombstones are at HD for about $3.

From your description, with 2 wires attached to the tombstone, the are unshunted. The diagram on the ballast will confirm.

How many wires coming from the ballast?

More than likely you need shunted, of if you buy unshunted, you just connect both wires to make it a shunted tombstone!

jbfan, we're you able to view the photos? My fixture is still mounted, I just pulled the tombstone off the end of the fixture so I don't know which wire comes from the ballast....
Doesn't the fact that the two contact points do not connect in the tombstone indicate it's an unshunted tombstone? See:

OK, I loaded photos to dropbox - I'm hopeful tat you don't have to sign up to see these photos!
Here's the link to the photos on Dropbox:

Here's my original post - ignore the Shutterfly reference.
Thanks again.

It looks like they needed shunted, but used un shunted snd made jumpers to make it work.

Does the ballast have 2 yellow wire, and 2 red or 2 blue wires that connect to the other set of tombstones?

Your second pix has jumpers shunting the tombstone. BTW, 2 jumpers is redundant, you only need 1.
