I am looking to automate my Panasonic FV-10NLF1E with the DG115EZIAQ/U Honeywell TrueIAQ Digital Control. I have the fan set up as a whole house ventilator to exhaust stale humid air. This works very well to remove condensation from my windows, but I have to adjust the line voltage dehumidistat frequently depending on outdoor temperature.

So what I see could work better is a smart control with an outdoor sensor. The Honeywell model seems to fit the bill, but I need help figuring out what R8239 fan center to order. There are five models which appear to have about the same specs, at least to my layman's eyes.

Not much info about alternate setups like mine on the Honeywell site, but the IAQ control appears to be set up to use ventilation to dehumidify (advanced settings).

Thanks for any help and advice. Open to other models too should you have recommendations.

NOTE: Won't let me post links as a newbie, but message me should you want them (support litterature links).

If your system is line voltage then you will need a 24 volt transformer and a relay. The IAQ turn off/on the relay which in turn would turn off/on the fan
The R8239 fan center has its own transformer and relay.

OP, which one depends on what voltage your dehumidifier is using. Or what voltage your central heat/cool system is using.

Thanks Bob. Yes my setup is line voltage all the way right now. The wiring diagram from the IAQ manual shows a setup with a R8239 fan center relay. I'm assuming this is pretty close to what I would need, but perhaps cheaper to source a non-Honeywell transformer and relay. The R8239 is expensive and probably overkill(?) for my setup. The R8285 is cheaper, but I'll admit to being a little lost in that department.

There is no dehumidifer or central heat/cool system. Only the line voltage Panasonic exhaust fan and a line voltage dehumidistat. I would like to use the IAQ without a thermostat wired to it.

At this point, just trying to figure out what relay/transformer combination or fan center to use. For the latter, maybe someone can explain why the 8239 is so much more expensive than the 8285.

I understand I need 24VAC for the IAQ, just not sure what 120VAC relay I need for my single speed fan.
