Help me identify my grass type!

I live in the Northeast. Northern Westchester County, NY. Should be a cool season grass, mostly fine fescue is my guess but I'm having a tough time comparing it to images online for a match, they all look the same to me!

What do you think?

Welcome!

Can you get a real excruciatingly close close-up? From a distance it does look a lot like fine "red" fescue, but it could also be rye grass.

Though I'm in California now, I used to live in Cleveland, Ohio, which, for a time, seemed like something of a suburb to NYC . . . . :vs_cool: :devil3:

It looks like Red Fescue, even if it's not too terribly red.

That's a nice lawn grass, especially in shady spots, as long as the soil is reasonably well-drained.
