Hi, I am trying to get some engineered or regular hardwood flooring for my new apartment. I am looking for this type of color and can't seem to find it anywhere, the color is black (may look black-grey under reflection) and it doesn't have the wood texture on them, it has a smooth look to the finish. Please help me out here!! thanks

hi prissy...for flooring, there's Blackwood (indian rosewood) which is very dark. black walnut, again very dark. but both will show grain. the densest wood i've ever used that was pure black and shows no grain is ebony. never seen an ebony floor though..... but of course, there are other materials and stained flooring as well...

i'd trust these guys over hd or lowes. go with solid hardwood if you ever plan on refinishing them.

You could try Charlie at Enduracolor in South Florida. It's all custom stuff but he lives for creating that right color.
