Hello everyone,
My above ground well jet pump started leaking last night. The leak is a slow drip . (See attached pic for drip location). Not sure what the best option is here, fix it myself (can I find the part?), buy a new pump for $270.00 or hirer a plumber to fix it (will a plumber be cheaper then 270.00?). Look forward to reading responses, thanks everyone in advance:thumbup:

I had a jet pump (used to run foamy brushes at a carwash), similar to the one you have. It began leaking one time. The only thing sealing it off was a big o-ring. Took it apart, cleaned all the crud off, replaced the o-ring, put it back together-- good to go. Yours looks similar, but not exactly the same. Do you have an owners manual with a parts breakdown, or possibly could find one online with the model number? I have seen pumps that have a spring loaded ceramic fitting with a rubber seal as well, so it's hard to say which type it is until you get it apart unless you can find a manual for it.
