We are remodeling a house, and I'm not sure which brand of trim I should be shopping for. My plumber thinks it's either Moen or American Standard, but I wanted to ask if someone here might recognize it ... any ideas?

Great, thanks for the quick reply. he pointed out that it is galvanized, but didn't recommend replacing it ... I'll ask him his opinion on it tomorrow and see if it's going to fit in the budget.

Two choises, replace the old steel pipe or forever have to deal with trash in the anti scald valve, rusty water, have the flow get slower because of it scaling up on the inside and getting smaller, and at some point leaking.

You have copper to the valve, if the rest of the house is copper- no worries

Thanks for the input. He checked everything again today, looks like most of the lines have been replaced with brass ... one line to a faucet on the side of the house was still galvanized, he's going to replace that.
