help finding nice oil or stain for western red cedar lattice

Hi there,

I'm making my own lattice out of western red cedar, and want to get that nice "orange/red" kind of look that I've seen on a few houses.

Any ideas for product? Penofin? Sikkens?

Can I brush it on after I install the lattice, or should I "dip" the strips into some kind of trough and let them dry first?

Thanks.

Penofin may take a few coats. Look up Armstrong-Clark. They have a great deep penetrating oil based semi-transparent. Cedar color choice is very popular. If you have a pump up insecticide sprayer you can clean it out real good and coat using that sprayer.
