Ayuh,... There are 2 resins, actually 3 resins used in fiberglass work,....

The most common are polyester, 'n epoxy, vinylester is not common, but used in boat production,.....

I wear a mask when grindin' finished products, but not when applin' liquid resins,....
The gas off is minimal,...

The polyester does stink abit, but no mask is gonna stop the fumes,.....

Epoxy don't smell to bad at all, 'n don't really give off bad fumes,...

Ya need a dust mask when grindin' to keep the dust, 'n glass particles outa yer lungs,....

This is the most recent MSDS I could find.

http://www.recochem.com.au/files/downloads/Fibreglass_Resin_Oct11.pdf

This one doesn't say Low Styrene Emission. Is there a number you could call? Not sure if the # on the MSDS is still good. The MSDS came from this website: http://www.recochem.com.au/index.php/products/consumer_products/fibreglass/item/diggers_fibreglass_resin
There are contact #'s for different countries. They may not have shifted to the Safety Data Sheet, yet.

How big of a project are you talking about ?

It's usually good to have cross ventilation when fumes or vapors are being produced , but there's almost always more potential lung/eye (even hearing) damage when you're sanding/grinding anything !
