hvaclover stated: "They'd love you over at Hvac-Talk"

The truth is, as a professional, they'd shoot you for making a statement like that on their website. That site can anger me at times. Yeah, I know there is to be no DIY information and yes I have read the site rules. I understand that and they do provide decent information within the site rules.. However, do you ever notice how the pros "POUNCE" on anyone not conforming to its rules. That holier than though attitude and the name calling is rediculous and not professional.

You saying they'd shoot me or the OP?

Your right, they eat their own young. Tough turf keeps the yahoos away.

If you can't hold your own you shouldn't venture there.
But a more wealthier source of info you won't find any where.
A lot of us pros go there.

I am obviously referring to the OP. As far as holding my own and venturing into tough turf. What is that all about? I go there and play by the rules and don't expect to be or witness others being rediculed. Are you saying you condone this on their site? One other thing. If I see hypocracy on the part of the pros at Hvac-Talk, as I have done before, I will call them on it.

What if their phone number is unlisted.
How will you call them.

Yes, it can be a harsh site for some.

So it does at times take a thick skin. Even for those that are pro members over there.

If a DIYer can't find an answer to his or her problem here.

Doubtful they will find a solution anywhere else either.

Hvac-Talk is a great site. You just have to ask the question correctly.
If you start every question with "My installer said...." then all of your questions get answered. I have found that most of the secure pro's overthere want to help you, however they must follow the no DIY rules also. The trick is asking the question in a way that to answer would not violate the rules:wink:
