Directv is the best deal. I have had them for over 10 years even when I could get free dish. Their euipment is easier to use and can really be installed and and maintained by a diyer.
Trust me about the equipment. I have had to replace more set top boxes for dish than directv. As far as price goes dish is cheaper though.
Directv has dish beat hands down on HD quality and quanity. Although dish does have the 922 dvr with slingbox built in but that thing is so buggy it requires lots of patience.
As far as the sports no one can beat directv but if you watch the dish commercials they tell you different. They lie.
