Heil heat pump not working

It was working fine when I left for a long weekend and came home to some burnt wires see pic. Can I fix this or should I call a professional. I think the circuit breaker is bad.

It appears the breaker has suffered burns/heat damage. Will it reset? Are the lugs usable?
I'd replace the breaker, and cut the wire back to where there is no evidence of heat damage.

Thanks for your help can I find a replacement circuit breaker at Home Depot?
Or do I need to order one off the Internet to find the right replacement?

Don't know if you will find anything at a hardware store.
Probably an electrical supply company.
Does that breaker still function?

I don't think so when I went to losen the screw that holds the black wire it just fell out with part of the circuit breaker. I would fell better getting new one.

Last question how do I figure out what type of circuit breaker to get? Can I take the old one to the supply house and they can match it.
