I have replace my friends 1971 manual Honeywell thermostat on a Comformaker Model: GDE067AC12AN (1971) with a Hunter Touchscreen Programmable thermostat Model 44860 2 Stage Heat/2 Stage Cool. The A/C works however the heat does not come on. Four wires G,Y,W,RC & RH which are jumped. When I set the Hunter up I programed it as a electric furnace, however it was actually gas and it did not blow hot air when turned on the heat. I put the origianal thermostat back in and now the heat does not come on at all. I verified that the pilot is still lit. I do have a meter if you, if can tell me where to check for voltage.

Thanks

Power was shut off at the circuit breaker, instead of at the switch where the furnace was boarded up at, because when the heat was running with the old thermostat and I turned off the circuit breaker the heat turned off.

No Heat - Missed Top Left Screw On Old T.Stat

Earlier today I put the old thermostat back in however in looking at a diagram I just downloaded, I now realized I also missed screwing down the top right screw of the top layer of the old thermostat when I put it back on. I will also check as you advised for the voltage when I do that in the morning.

Thanks,

Heat is working now - Thanks!

I now realized I also missed screwing down the top right screw of the top layer of the old thermostat when I put it back on. That was the problem.
The heat is working fine now.

Thanks for your help.
