Please let me explain. I have two heat pumps. One for up one for down stairs. Both get yearly maintenance. One runs just fine. The standard hum sound. Recently the other started making a different sound as it sounds more like it oscilates with a "wah uh wah uh" cadence. Both units work fine. No issues. just the sound . Any ideas?

heat pump coils

Could that one or both coils are dirty, or that its low on refrigerant.
\I took the sides off my heat pump to clean. there was a 3 inch line of bent fins all around the inside of the crated cond.service coil. repair guy thought i hit with weed eater. It,s on the inside. Would that be my r-22 leak? He cant find any other. He thinks it is because he cant find it.do installers put those toghter at factory?

The bent over fins, sound like its not sitting on pump ups, and the water from defrost couldn't drain right, and refroze and bent the over. Seldom is that area where the leak is, but its always possible.

The units are assembled at the factory.
