Need hlep with a carrier model # 40aq030-300bb. just bought a house with this unit inside but outside different unit, think its a Goodman. When turned to heat everything ok, but when turned to cool it still puts out heat. Think reversing valve is bad or switch controlling it may be bad. Not to familiar with the system and wiring diagram is gone. Somebody made a mess of the wires anyway, need some help if you have any. Thanx and... GOD Bless

the unit outside might be in a failed mode due to the coil on the reversing valve being NG.if you can verify 24V going to that coil in the cooling mode you can change it with just a coil flip.....when i say FAILED mode i mean the stat is sending the control voltage out to slide valve coil but the coil is opened or shorted...verify that 24V first in cooling out in the condenser

Thanx U I will do that. I figured (and prayed to GOD) that its just stuck and not shorted. I know it can be a big (and expensive) job.
