For the mouse team that is. My air conditioner cycled on and I couldn't hear the condenser running so I went out to have a look and, indeed, neither compressor nor fan were running. I pulled the access panel and found this little guy who was gripping all the wires on top of the capacitor... Although I am not sure the mouse was the proximal cause of the outage since he was totally dried out and had obviously been there for a fairly long time. I did a cursory high check of the contactor and high voltage then saw that the top of the capacitor was bulging. Luckily I had a spare, popped it in and back in service. Good thing because it is a hot one out there today.

Poor little SOB. I know they chew everything up into oblivion, but he died a fantastical death.
