Hi all,
So here's my problem. I am trying to connect my hbxb-hw to my luxaire a/c condenser. My hvac contractor ran a low-voltage wire from each condenser outside to my two air handlers; one in the attic for the second floor and one in the basement for the first floor. He inserted the wires into the air handlers, but did not terminate them. I am looking at the wiring diagram, http://www.firstco.com/firstcoimages/pdf/hbxb-hw.pdf, but I am unsure where to connect this wire.

I had my house finished a few months ago and just noticed this. My general contractor and I are in a dispute over my contract, so contacting him to get this rectified won't help.

Anyone have any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did he hook up the thermostats for the AHU's? Looks like you are just going to pick up the brown wire in the AHU (C) and pick up the wire coming back from the stat that is hooked up to (Y) in the stat. Should just be the 2 wires going out to the condenser. Make sure they are hooked up outside to the low voltage coil of the contactor in the A/C. Turn off power to the AHU first so you don't short anything out.

HVACDave, thanks for the quick reply. Yes, the thermostats are hooked up and work fine as I have been using my heating system flawlessly. What you point out is what I presumed from looking at the wiring diagram. I see a loose brown wire attached to the control board on the air handler. So what you are saying is I need the yellow wire from the thermostat and the loose brown wire to connect to the wire going to the condenser? The wire going to the condensers is one red and one white. Which one do I connect to the brown and which one do I connect to the yellow? Is the yellow wire from the thermostat the one that is already connected in the air handler and currently used for the heating system? Thank you for your tremendous help!!

It doesn't matter which wire (red or white) ties on to which going out to the A/C. The brown one will hook to one and the wire that is hooked on to the (Y) terminal from the t-stat will hook to the other. I don't know what color of wire is hooked onto (Y) in the thermistat, you may have to remove the cover of the stat to find out and then just hook onto that same wire in the AHU.

Alright. I'm not able to make sense of this. I see the (Y) wire coming in from the thermostat, in this case it is blue. That wire needs to go to the brown coming from the air handler. How do I tie in the red and white going out to the condenser? Thanks for all your help!!
